Although Aegis Mortgage Company claims to provide comparable rates and care about customer service there have been some serious complaints brought against them. Despite claiming to provide 100% exceptional customer service some people have reported being taken for a ride by Aegis Lending. This includes underhanded tricks involving the use of multiple company names, misleading people, and not following through with either their stated actions or implied actions. The complaints raised against the company did not amount to outright theft, but underhanded and deceptive are both adjectives which have been used to describe the practices of Aegis Mortgage.
The company itself has suffered from internal complaints. Only recently concluding a lawsuit brought against them by their own employees for working overtime without pay. While neither of these items suggests that Aegis is a run-by-night scam operation, it does point to a willingness to engage in behavior which is disingenuous by all accounts.
